Our goal

We wanted to create a product that will allow end-users to go through the simulation of cargo securing in 15 minutes, after which they can immediately generate a report that confirms that all the measures required for the transport have been met.

With such a digital solution, our end users would be able to:

  • Improve the safety of cargo in the road transport
  • Plan and verify security quickly and skip the lengthy standard process
  • Optimize the costs of cargo securing

Our goal

Solution

  • We chose Unity as our main technology as it easily uses elements of the 3D world (vectors, gravity, the behavior of elements according to real physics, augmented reality) during the manufacturing process.

  • We started with developing algorithms that help to calculate the moments and forces affecting the load and the distribution of the mass of the load on the CTU surface.

  • The research part was done together with Dr. Jarosław Soliwoda (from the Gdynia Maritime University), who supported us in terms of standards and know-how related to the transport of standard and oversize cargo.

With our experts’ support, mechanisms related to digitization of the entire process were developed and implemented - from the moment of the input of key information about the load (dimensions, mass, the center of gravity, ground materials, shape, etc.), through the safe distribution of mass on the CTU surface, to the dynamic calculation of the strength of every lashing.

The app creates a cargo security report that can easily follow the load around the world in the digital version.

The solution was created for mobile devices with the Android system in order to adjust to the daily needs of end-users and at the same time to allow future development - for example towards Augmented Reality technology.
