DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer responsible for building and setting up new development tools on a platform many development teams use. 

This platform is a suite of digital tools-for-trade for the maritime industry. If you are a DevOps/Platform Engineer eager to develop your existing skills and experience in a fast-paced environment, this role could be for you.

Fully remote

• Work on everything from transitioning the on-prem teams into the cloud helping move to an orchestrated container-based service architecture (Kubernetes and Docker);

• Improve and maintain modules in our central Terraform & PowerShell Module library;

• Consolidate existing Azure resources where possible and migrate on-prem services to PaaS services with assistance from the platform engineering team and developers;

• Manage and monitor systems to ensure that issues are quickly identified and resolved;

• Collaborate with the operations and development teams to plan and execute system changes e.g. security and audit controls;

• Automate build and release manual activities;

• Create guides and documentation for the development team to operate and maintain products.

devops engineer Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Pipelines;

• Working knowledge of Terraform and PowerShell;

• Experience in engineering and automation of container orchestration with Kubernetes;

• Good working knowledge in setup and supporting Kubernetes environments using cloud providers;

• vSphere for on-premise and Azure for cloud deployments;

• Communicative English is spoken and written (at least B2).

Nice to have

• Experience with Teamcity and Octopus;

• Experience with Elastic Search;

• Experience with Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) in an Azure world;

• Experience with Linux, package management, config changes and basic tasks.
